This kit is of the Southport Tramways Company open top cars.
These trams were built as open top cars by Brush in 1901. They were designed by John Raworth, the director of Brush and chairman of the Southport Company. They had windscreens from new – only the second cars in the UK to have them. Heralded as the most luxurious four-wheel, open-top cars in the country, with cushioned seats, ornate lampshades and fancy painted ceilings.
